As part of their Simplicity ad campaign, Philips has asked a number of Time publications to print the table of contents on the cover. Benefits the reader, and ties in nicely with the campaign message.
A few days ago, Chevy released a viral site that asked viewers to create their own Chevy Tahoe ads. Of course, plenty of people created sarcastic ads about global warming. It turns out GM expected this and went ahead with it anyway, as explained in this analysis. Very strong marketing move.
