One of the first pictures taken from an air balloon, San Francisco right after the 1906 Earthquake. In the aerial photography category, we’ve also got Venice and a whole series by Jason Hawkes. My favorite aerial photographer remains Yann Arthus Bertrand.

Salt and sound

Awesome video of sound waves causing patterns to appear in a pile of salt. Watch out, the sound gets very high pitched so you may want to turn your speakers down/off.
