Fewer signs, fewer accidents

Great Wired article from a year back about how fewer road signs can lead to fewer accidents, by forcing people to pay attention. Of course, a disproportionally large number of accidents are caused by drunk drivers, and they aren’t affected by signs either way.

Subway stencils

Such a simple idea: stencils to help orient yourself as you exit the subway.

NPR has a great article about polite cellphones. I wish my cellphone were smarter about this stuff!

Viseo natural gas canister

The Viseo natural gas canister [link in french] by energy company Butagaz is built with a glass-fiber core and a high-strength polypropylene shell. It weighs half as much as traditional gas containers, and transparent sections allow users to see the level of gas remaining.
